Who We Are
Since 2021, welcoming refugees, parolees, and immigrants to the greater Charleston area.

“Love the stranger.”
Purpose Driven
We walk with sojourners in Charleston by combining practical support, community advocacy, and faith-driven care. Our purpose is rooted in the belief that every individual deserves dignity, belonging, and hope.
Hands & Feet
Sojourner Care is on mission to be the hands and feet of Jesus, who is our refuge. We provide community, advocacy, resources, and education for individuals who are sojourning in the greater Charleston area.
Thriving Communities
We envision the greater Charleston SC area as a place where communities thrive because individuals of all nationalities employ their gifts and talents in dignifying and God honoring ways.
“Whoever is the least among you is the greatest.”
— Luke 9:48
We are driven by the belief that every person is created in the image of God and needs to experience His forgiveness. We are called to “love the stranger,” for “you were strangers in the land of Egypt.”
From Wilderness to Horeb
Like Elijah under the broom tree, many sojourners are weary. God met him there with care—providing food, water, and rest. Not to end the journey, but to strengthen him for the next step.
We aim to meet sojourners with grace, presence, and provision—but also with a spirit of “arise.” We long to see them continue on the journey to which the Lord has called them.
